Katie said:
This laundry detergent looks awesome. We are always on the look-out for good-for-the-environment good-for-us detergent, so we'll have to check this one out. We'd go for the scent-free one because we're sensitive folks. :)

Dropps Laundry Detergent Giveaway

courtesy of Dropps.com

UPDATE: NOW CLOSED

When I was in Target a few months ago, I had the good fortune of finding a bag of Dropps (Fresh Scent) laundry detergent with a $2 peelie on the front...and in addition I had a Target store coupon with me for the Dropps detergent as well.  I looked over the bag, and realized my husband would be very happy to see these.  They are great for the environment and our laundry.  With this in mind, I went and purchased the Dropps, and have since used them on lots of different loads of laundry. Always fresh-smelling and obviously clean, I decided I really loved this product.  As a result, I contacted the company to let them know.  In turn, they offered a giveaway to one of my readers-- a chance to try Dropps, free of charge!

A little more info about the company & product:

1) Dropps is still a small company, but is working hard to get their name known.  I received a personal email back within an hour of sending them one.  How's that for customer service?

2) Dropps are phosphate free, cholorine-free and biodegradable. Much better for your clothes (and body!) than the average laundry detergent.

3) Dropps come in pre-measured 6x concentrated pacs, like you see for the dishwasher. You just toss it in the washer and you're done!  No measuring, no liquid mess!

4) Dropps has partnered with TerraCycle, so when you're finished with a bag, you can save it to send in to Terracycle where you will have a choice of donating money to schools/charities of your choice for every recyclable you send in!

5) Dropps run about $7 for a 20-pack, but if you hunt, you can find coupons from time to bring the cost down.  Honestly, these are a little pricy for me, but knowing that I am contributing to an environmentally friendly company and helping my body in the long run, makes it worth it.

Dropps would like to give away a 1-month supply (42 loads) to one of my readers. You can pick from Fresh Scent, Scent + Dye Free, or Baby. Once I have picked a winner, Dropps will send the prize package directly to the winner. The giveaway will end at 11:59 pm EST on June 30th.  The winner will be chosen using random.org, and will be notified by email.  They will have 48 hours to respond, and if they don't, another winner will be chosen.

There will be 1 mandatory entry and 3 optional/additional entries. Please leave your email in the comment so that I can notify you if you win.

1) You must follow my blog, and leave a comment telling me which option you would try, as listed above. (Mandatory)

2) Follow @Droppslaundry on Twitter (leave a separate comment for each of the next 3 entries)
3) Tweet about this giveaway (1 per day, 1 comment per day)
4) Like Dropps on Facebook

Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives Giveaway: New Ending Time

Did you know that in the next 25 years, 10 million people will die of breast cancer? According to Komen.org, breast cancer continues to impact far too many of our loved ones. This fall, look for specially-marked pink lids on Yoplait yogurt cups through Yoplait's "Save Lids to Save Lives" campaign. For every pink lid saved and sent in by December 31, 2010, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, with a total donation of up to $1.6 million and a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000. To date, Yoplait has raised more than $25 million for the breast cancer cause. In an ongoing effort to educate and encourage women of all ages to put their breast health first, Yoplait's campaign is once again collaborating with celebrity breast cancer surgeon Dr. Kristi Funk, in addition to the founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Nancy G. Brinker.

I love supporting companies that are socially responsible, and Yoplait has stepped right into that role.  To show their passion for this campaign, Yoplait and My Blog Spark joined forces to give me a chance to review their Yoplait Greek yogurt as well as sponsor a giveaway for my readers.  I received a package that included 2 coupons for Yoplait Greek yogurt, a $25 donation to Susan G. Komen in my name, a pink leather journal, pink pen, and awareness charm bracelet.  Ya'll know we eat a ton of yogurt in our house, so I'm always excited to see a coupon for yogurt.  I bought the honey vanilla variety, and thoroughly enjoyed it's smooth creaminess and hint of sweetness!

One lucky reader will also receive this same prize package!  Please leave a comment with your favorite yogurt.  Make sure you also include your email address so that I can email the winner.  For an extra entry, let me know you subscribe to my blog.  The giveaway will end Friday November 19, 2010 at 12:00 pm EST.  Good luck!
